Ini Daftar Pemenang Billboard Music Awards 2016

Ajang penghargaan bergengsi Billboard Music Awards 2016 telah digelar di T-Mobile Arena di Las Vegas tadi malam, hari Minggu (22/5/2016). Dalam acara yang dipandu oleh Ludacris dan Ciara tersebut, delapan gelar sukses disabet oleh penyanyi dan penulis lagu asal Kanada, The Weeknd.

Selain The Weeknd, Adele juga meraih sukses besar di ajang penghargaan bergengsi tersebut. Dirinya meraih beberapa penghargaan, diantaranya sebagai Top Artist dan Top Billboard 200 Album Award. Sayangnya, pelantun lagu ‘Hello’ ini tidak dapat menghadiri Billboard Music Awards 2016 karena sehubungan dengan jadwal tur dunia-nya.

Sementara itu, Justin Bieber berhasil meraih penghargaan sebagai Top Male Artist Award. Sementara Rihanna memboyong penghargaan Billboard Chart Achievement. Dan One Direction, grup yang diisukan di ambang kebubaran, mendapat penghargaan sebagai Top Duo/Group.

Sedangkan Celine Dion berlinang air mata saat menerima Icon Award, sebagai penghormatan atas dedikasinya di industri musik. Seperti diketahui, pelantun ‘The Show Must Go On’ ini mengawali tahun 2016 dengan traumatis, ketika suaminya, Rene Angelil, dan saudara laki-lakinya, Daniel, meninggal dunia karena kanker dalam waktu yang hampir bersamaan di bulan Januari silam.
